KDDI (Japan)

KDDI is the second placed mobile network operator in Japan, behind NTT Docomo. Its Video Pass SVoD service launched in 2012.   Operations and figures: KDDI posted full year 2017 operating revenue of $47 billion, up 4.2%. Operating income came in at $9 billion, up 4%. There are 5.36 million KDDI cable TV households, growing 91,000 year on year, with KDDI claiming 11.1 million CATV RGUs. KDDI surpassed 50 million mobile subscribers in the fourth quarter, growing 1.8 million in a year.
