In a week that saw president Trump give the Keystone XL and Delta access pipeline projects the go ahead, and all mention of renewables and climate change banished from the White House website, California utilities are attempting to buck the tone set by the White House – with plans to spend $1bn on Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. With the state’s target of 1m EVs on the road by 2020, they’ve got some catching up to do.
