CEVA has made a trio of announcements this week, launching its RivieraWaves WiFi platform for IoT SoCs, partnering with Catena to provide a complete WiFi and Bluetooth offering for SoC designers, and signing a deal with Beken that will see its new RivieraWaves WiFi and TeakLite DSP included in Beken’s SoC designs for audio products. The bulk of CEVA’s business is found in licensing its designs to chip makers like Beken, and the new RivieraWaves WiFi design includes beam forming, Wave 2 MIMO, Space-Time Block Code (STBC), Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC), dynamic bandwidth management, and WiFi Direct.
