AT&T pushed out its numbers just after we went to press last week and said that U-Verse high speed Internet gained 601,000 subscribers in the quarter to reach a total of 12.1 million, and this was a 38,000 rise in total broadband numbers, including older ADSL lines, on the quarter (so it still have 16.5 million). U-verse TV added 216,000 subs to reach nearly 6.1 million in service. A week earlier Verizon had said that it added just 162,000 FiOS Internet connections and 114,000 net new FiOS Video connections to reach 6.5 million Internet and 5.5 million video connections.
