NTT Docomo (Japan)

NTT Docomo, a subsidiary of government-owned telco NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone), is the dominant mobile operator in Japan. Its Hikari TV service launched in March 2013, and dTV (was BeeTV) launched in 2009.   Operations and figures: NTT Docomo reported operating revenues of $34.2 billion for the nine months ended December 2017, up 3.6%, but saw a 0.8% operating income decline to $7.95 billion. The Hikari TV service, which is jointly provided with other cable TV operators, has 3.4 million subscribers, growing from 1.84 million in 2015.
