Rethink’s Asia Pacific OTT Forecast

Introduction Forecasting OTT video in the Asia Pacific (Asia) region presented a much greater challenge than for the US and Europe, due to Asia being made up of a multitude of entirely contrasting individual markets. This fragmented and complex collection of markets span those with broadband penetration over 50%, such as Japan, to regions where broadband reaches less than 10% of households, but where there are 300 million smartphone users, as is the case in India. The differing ecosystems offer some interesting results.
