Starry moves to licensing model with Marvell, weighs 11ax versus 5G

Starry was one of the highest profile start-ups of last year, riding the interest in 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) to enjoy a strong spotlight on its millimeter wave, 802.11-based technology. But in reality, its chances of hitting the big time as an independent provider living in the niche FWA market were slim – but it now has a partnership with Marvell which could put it on course for a far more impactful business model.
