The video content ecosystem is finally showing signs of saturation, as TV networks that charged head-first into premium original content are now pulling back their investments. The deluge of scripted original series has been a joy for consumers, but with over 450 scripted originals last year, audiences have had a hard time keeping up with these shows – or from the content producer’s perspective, showing up to watch them.
