Virgin Media Ireland, owned by Liberty Global, was formed when Virgin Media was merged with UPC in the country in 2015. Horizon Go launched in Ireland at the end of 2014. Operations and figures: Virgin Media Ireland ended 2017 with 292,700 video subscribers, of which 268,100 are enhanced and 24,600 basic – losing a total of 11,000 video subscribers during 2017. It also has 372,000 internet subscribers, down 8,500 year on year. Revenue for 2017 came in at $6.4 billion, down 1.7%, on operating income of $2.93 billion, a 7.3% decline from 2016.
