The pandemic has accelerated a bunch of new live streaming platforms, many of them predicting that the temporary embargo on mass gatherings for live performances was set to become a more established way of enjoying such events. Faultline has always struggled with these promises, especially in the case of live streams of music, comedy or theater. Unlike live sports, it realistically makes no difference to the end user at home whether or not the footage they are streaming is in fact live.
