Fortescue Metals magnate Andrew Forrest has outlined a 235 GW green energy vision to shareholders, speaking from Paraguay by videolink to the company’s AGM, marking an ambition to enter green energy on a massive scale equivalent to the shift underway by many oil majors. The company has already committed $731 million to the new business, Fortescue Future Industries, through 2023, but will add to that with off balance sheet financing.
