It looks like a final resolution to the stand-off between US mobile operators and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), over potential interference from 5G services in the C-band spectrum to altimeters close to airports, is close to resolution, but not in time to prevent a further two-week delay to deployment until January 19. As we reported in November, AT&T and Verizon, the two operators concerned, had previously agreed to delay C-band turn-on by 30 days from the original launch date, until January 5.
