Polish thinktank Forum Energii has published a report finding that the Polish energy sector must urgently accelerate network expansion in order to enable further renewable energy development. Some of its recommendations are quite basic – such as advocating that distribution grid operators should be required to “transparently prepare grid development plans tailored to green energy development”, that network connections should be more freely shared by multiple projects, and that grid connection refusals should be reviewed – the think tank asserts that current flow analysis overstates risks to the grid.
