10Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company Masdar has announced it will invest in a 1.6 GW EDF Renewables renewable portfolio in the USA, acquiring 50%. The two companies have collaborated in the Arab world, including megaprojects in Morocco and Saudi Arabia, but this the first time the partnership has been seen in the USA. Masdar’s first entry into the USA came last year, when it purchased John Laing’s 50% stakes in two wind farms totaling 178.9 MW. That was a highly conservative acquisition – both projects had been operating 010since Q3 2017.
