Most video service providers would be more than happy with a score of 74.5 out of 100 for viewer quality – and the majority of paying subscribers would tend to agree. For SSIMWave, however, registering just three-quarters up on the SSIMPlus Viewer Score (SVS) signals a “less-than-stellar” video quality experience, according to the Canadian vendor’s recent blogging activities. In recent tests, SSIMWave has scrutinized five out of the eight platforms which recently streamed MLB matches between New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox – YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling TV, Prime Video, Sportsnet, FuboTV, DirecTV Stream, and MLB.TV.
