Arm has continued its drive up the IoT stack with its Pelion platform, announcing a partnership this week with Chinese smart-meter manufacturer based in Hangzhou, Hexing Electrical. Identifying the utility sector as a space with great potential for low-risk long-term revenue, Arm says the company aims to accelerate the penetration of smart technology in the energy system. In an announcement made on Wednesday, licensed core developer Arm unveiled the new strategic relationship.
