AT&T has an increasingly convoluted video business. Its latest OTT hurrah is HBO Max, set to launch in May 2020 via the acquisition of WarnerMedia. DirecTV Now was recently rebranded as AT&T TV Now, while AT&T TV and Watch TV are separate offerings.   Operations and figures: Video subscriber losses totalled 1.36 million in the third quarter of 2019, with the operator out-doing Q2’s 956,000 cancellations. Premium TV subscribers (covering DirecTV satellite and U-verse IPTV) declined by almost 1.2 million to 20.4 million in total, while the remaining 195,000 losses were picked up by AT&T TV Now, leaving the latter with 1.1 million subscribers.
