China’s belt and road needs to turn Green soon, or cause huge harm

When we first got involved with renewable energy, once we had talked to a few experts, read sufficiently and understood the market, there was a feeling that the upside to renewable energy was rosy, and there was plenty of time for the related topic of climate change to sort itself out. One large dark cloud on that horizon is the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that is essentially helping other countries through the massive infrastructure development that China itself has been through in the past 30 years or so.
