This week US multinational Cummins (of Cummins Engines fame) agreed to work with Bustech, Australia’s largest supplier of transit buses to produce its next gen XDi bus using Cummins zero-emission battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell designs. But it’s journey to get to this stage of taking fuel cell orders has been a long one, and there are many startups nipping at the heels of the Cummins giant.
