Sports is still the main driver of pay TV, but some snippets of data gleaned from an IBC webinar have highlighted what might just be a properly existential question for sports. The main concern appears to be that younger viewers prefer to watch sports with new data-driven overlay features, and if this is transferable to other content types or viewing in general, could make for significant upheaval in the content production world.
