Dish launched its free TV Everywhere service, Dish Anywhere, in August 2010. In January 2015, Dish’s subscription OTT service, Sling TV, was unveiled – now costing $25 a month. Operations and figures: Dish ended Q2 2017 with 10.65 million satellite pay TV subscribers and 2.34 million Sling TV subscribers. The DTH business lost 192,000 subscribers in the second quarter, offset partly by 41,000 Sling TV customer gains. Revenue for the period was $3.46 billion, down 5%, with net income increasing dramatically by 977.5% to $439 million, due to litigation expenses incurred in Q2 2017. Pay TV ARPU is $85.54.
