It is always frustrating to see how slowly start-ups in energy make gains, and this week Italy’s Energy Dome got itself connected to a larger partner in renewables in the form of Danish Renewables multinational Ørsted. It’s another of those oh so vague memorandum of understanding (MoU) deals, but will see Energy Dome scale from its current commercial demonstration in Sardinia in Italy, which was only 2.5 MW/4 MWh, to an installation closer to the top of its stated design range, 20 MW and 200 MWh.
