The patents-related legal battle between Ericsson and Apple shows no signs of a settlement, with Ericsson filing a new set of lawsuits last week. The dispute started in October, when Ericsson filed its first lawsuit, accusing Apple of trying to reduce the royalty rates it paid for use of 5G intellectual property. This followed an announcement by Ericsson, in 2017, that its 5G royalties would be $2.50 to $5 per handset.
