At CES earlier this year, we saw various announcements about large language models (LLMs) partnering with major TV OEMs—many of which were covered in Faultline at the time. These include Microsoft Copilot (which itself is based on ChatGPT) and Google Gemini, which will power Android TV and Google TV. However, these were only announcements; no public demonstrations were shown. On the operator side, there has been little activity, and the topic was notably absent at the Connected TV World Summit 2025 in London.
