According to statistics collated by the Polaris Solar Photovoltaic Network, there are now at least 65 GW of planned heterojunction manufacturing facilities worldwide – with 54 GW of this coming from sixteen Chinese companies, and the rest mostly in Europe. One of those companies is Canadian Solar, whose Q1 results, released last week, make mention of a 250 MW heterojunction line, with the company to sell its first such in Q3 this year.
