South Korea has firmly placed offshore wind at the center of its plan to reach net zero emissions by 2050. This week, President Moon Jae-In unveiled a $43.3 billion plan for the country to develop the world’s largest offshore wind farm, with a capacity of 8.2 GW, in a bid to promote a green economic recovery to the Covid-19 pandemic and to promote the growth of its domestic supply chain.
