IEA shows US emissions fall less than other advanced nations

Someone must have given Donald Trump the editing pen before the International Energy Agency issued its press release this week talking about the world’s emissions only “flatlining,” the implication being that the advanced economies cut emissions, while the rest of the world grew them. The political position that the quarterly report seems to take is that the advanced world is doing a good job, and that it’s those nasty energy hungry countries in Asia that are causing all the trouble. There is no context, and the USA is called out as seeing the largest decline in emissions of ANY single country in absolute terms. Too bad it wasn’t also called out for having the smallest decrease by percentages. A statement…
