Spain has attracted yet another massive renewable energy investment, this time 1.2 GW split between solar and wind. Renewable developer Ignis has formed an alliance with Simec Energy Group, which is the energy division of steel and aluminum conglomerate GFG Alliance. Both Ignis and GFG Alliance will invest in the 1.2 GW portfolio, which is due for 2023 commissioning, and will consist of solar spread across the country, plus wind within Galicia.
