Intel’s Wireless Display (WiDi) technology is very different from what Apple offers with AirPlay, according to Kerry Forell, Intel’s WiDi product manager. WiDi is mirroring technology and streams anything and everything that’s on a WiDi-equipped PC or tablet to a TV set or projector: video, audio, Web pages, pictures, documents and applications. Both the PC and the TV need WiDi technology, of course. Intel is working to get every portable device from PCs to tablets to embed its WiDi technology.
