DAZN has promoted Dutch content security specialist Irdeto to the rank of primary multi-DRM provider for the global sports streaming platform. Some might argue that DAZN has bigger technological problems on its plate right now than tackling piracy, although the security sector is increasingly emphasizing the direct correlation between pirated content and streaming quality issues – like latency – as well as rising streaming infrastructure costs.
