National roadmaps are continuing to amass behind the EU’s hydrogen strategy, with Finland publishing its plan of action, while Italy looks set to bundle in over the coming months. For Finland, the National Hydrogen Roadmap published by Business Finland does not explicitly set out targets for deployment. It’s more a study of the current hydrogen environment in the country, identifying the current demand of 150,000 tons per year, mainly for its oil refining and biofuel production (88%) and satisfied more than 99% by fossil-fuel intensive methods of production.
