Israel and Jordan have signed a declaration of intent for Jordan to build 600 MW of solar capacity which will generate power for Israel, while Israel will build desalination plants and provide Jordan with 200 million cubic meters of water annually. The deal was signed in the UAE, whose money will be backing the initiative, feasibility studies will begin in 2022, and projects should be commissioned in 2026. Israel and Jordan have an existing supply agreement of 50 million cubic meters, with Israel selling an additional 50 million cubic meters this year.
