This week two notable energy suppliers in the US have both announced they are upping their energy storage by over 1 GW between them over the next few years. Right now in the US there is only about 1.1 GW of grid storage installed, with another 528 MW expected to be added this year. Orders like this are now starting to become common place and will see the market for energy storage in the US accelerate dramatically, almost doubling capacity in the entire country in just two orders.
