The second half of 2022 saw many Open RAN challenger vendors having to make staff cuts as the nascent market failed to deliver large-scale revenues in the short term. Mavenir was among them, though its layoffs were less severe than at rivals such as Parallel Wireless, but the US core, IMS and Open RAN supplier now appears to have made some further cutbacks.
