A powerful lobby group led by Scandinavian giants Orsted and Equinor, has formed to push expertise in ocean based renewable energy, and to act as a governmental spokesman for the offshore wind industry. Ostensibly it is a voice to respond to recommendations of the UN High Level Panel for Sustainable Ocean Economy, which came out last October. It says it will come up with a complete concrete plan of ocean action shortly. The two lead companies will be Orsted and Equinor, and they will be supported by CWind, Global Marine Group, JERA, MHI Vestas, Mainstream Renewable Power, Shell, Siemens Gamesa, TenneT and the UK Crown Estate.
