The British government has once again placed offshore wind at the heart of its plans to decarbonize its power sector, this week announcing its “largest ever” round of Contract for Difference (CfD) support for renewable energy. It is, however, worth noting that this “largest ever” label applies only to capacity and cannot be attributed to the £265 million set aside for the auction.
