The $400 million, 500 MW Ibri II solar project in Oman will use Sungrow’s inverters and Jolywood’s bifacial modules, according to deals signed this week with the developing consortium. ACWA Power, Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC), and Alternative Energy Projects (AEPCo) hold 50%, 40% and 10% stakes respectively. This comes in the same week that the World Economic Forum announced its energy transition index, which highlighted Oman as the most improved country in terms of its energy system and environment to achieve a transition to clean energy.
