A bamboozling press release from a US company called 6G-Datacast.tv claims to have developed and patented a “transformational” and “revolutionary” communications protocol that is somehow intertwined with numerous ATSC 3.0 initiatives. Upon first reading, the TV in Datacast.tv comes across as misleading, as the technology doesn’t appear to be supporting video delivery of any kind.
