Altice Portugal (Meo)

Altice Portugal, formerly Portugal Telecom, is the incumbent telco in Portugal and was acquired by Altice Group in 2015. Its Meo Go OTT offering launched in 2011.   Operations and figures: Portugal contributed €522 million to Altice Europe’s total Q2 2019 revenue of just over €1 billion, up 1.1% year on year. There are approximately 1.2 million subscribers of Altice Portugal’s Meo TV business. It gained 44,000 fiber customers and 37,000 mobile in the last quarter. Technology suppliers: The Meo Go service is built on Ericsson’s Mediaroom – from which Ericsson has developed the MediaFirst TV platform.
