This week the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) suggested that legal changes in Vietnam, may lead to a number of planned coal plants not seeing the light of day in Vietnam. It’s important to realize that Vietnam is just one of many developing nations which is going through rapid surges in its need for electricity to drive GDP growth, and is finding its way from coal to gas to renewables, in the footsteps of much of the developed world.
