Railtel, an Indian neutral host fiber network operator, is expanding its activities into edge computing. It will add edge data centers in 102 locations across the country to its longhaul fiber network, which runs along about 60,000 kilometers of railway lines, and is looking for local partners to support the project. Most of the edge data centers will be situated in tier 2 and 3 towns and cities rather than major metro areas.
