Reliance Jio has been virtually unstoppable in its market share gains, since it launched commercially in 2016 with free or ultra-low cost offers on its 4G network. But this summer has seen the largest Indian MNO lose market power, with its share of subscribers dropping from 37% in August to 36.4% in September.
