Storage Penghui Energy’s 12 GWh, $1.8 billion LFP energy storage battery factory in China will soon begin trial production. Australian utility AGL Energy, whose generation capacity portfolio is still 80% coal, has announced plans for a further 1.4 GW of BESS across five projects to reach FiD this year. These projects are mostly 2-hour duration as currently envisaged.
