Renewable orders this week

An agreement has been reached regarding the Formosa 3 offshore wind project, such that JERA Co. now holds 43.75% of the project, EnBW Energie Baden–Wurttemberg has 25%, and Green Investment Group has 25%.  The project is distributed across three sites, received Environmental Impact approval in 2018, and will pursue capacity in this year’s grid allocations. Belectric, a unit of Innogy, has commissioned a 250 MW solar array in Karnataka, India, on behalf of Fortum. Australia’s 720 MW New England Solar Plant, in New South Wales state, has been approved.
