Singapore’s UnaBiz takes control of Sigfox Singapore-based UnaBiz has taken French low power WAN network company Sigfox out of receivership with full ownership, as announced by the Commercial Court of Toulouse, paying around €25m. This concludes a short but intense sales process in which nine companies originally submitted bids for the IoT firm, which had been one of the big four LPWAN providers but suffered from overreach and flaws in the business model. The success of UnaBiz was a slight surprise given that the French Ministry of the Economy appeared to have been angling for a domestic buyer.
