Saipem has signed an MoU with two other Italian developers, QINT’X and AGNES Wind Power, to develop a 448 MW offshore wind farm at two sites in the Adriatic Sea offshore from Ravenna. Alongside the fixed-foundation wind will be floating solar technology developed by Moss Maritime, the renewables segment of Saipem’s R&D division, XSIGHT. The three companies plan to develop the power plant into a full-fledged Energy Hub which will have green hydrogen production on former oil and gas platforms, and battery energy storage at shore.
