Swiss mobile operator Salt was bought out from Orange by Iliad founder Xavier Niel. Although it doesn’t offer an OTT video service as such, Salt has packaged together an IPTV platform with multiscreen viewing, built around an aggressive 10 Gbps fiber broadband offering. Operations and figures: Salt last published results in Q2 2018, showing a mobile subscriber base of just over 1.2 million, adding 12,000 post paid subs in the quarter. Revenue for the period came in at CHF 474.5 million ($471.2 million), up 3.2% year on year, and EBITDA increased 6.2% to 234.8 million ($233.2 million).
