Spanish IoT company Sateliot is pushing ahead with its plans for a low-earth orbit (LEO) constellation of nanosatellites to provide global NB-IoT connectivity. In anticipation of a phase of satellite launches in the first quarter of 2023 to kickstart the constellation, it has now inked a number of agreements, most recently with smart electricity grid specialist Sentrisense, to kick off its commercial venture. The first Sateliot nanosatellite will be launched by Elon Musk’s SpaceX next month and the aim is to have four more launched this year, 64 by 2024, and 250 by the end of 2025.
