Only a few governments have reported official solar statistics for Q4 so far, but we estimate that 141.2 GW solar has been installed worldwide, just behind the most optimistic pre-pandemic forecasts. Vietnam is by far the greatest standout, but China and the USA have also surpassed expectations, easily making up for declines in Mexico and India. Most other markets have likewise accelerated. China, Vietnam, and the USA have all seen an end-of-year rush.
