The University of Michigan has published a study that found human drivers still ahead of self-driving computers – but not by much. The report also says that when SAE Level 4 and 5 vehicles come to market, they will outperform humans in terms of driving safety – perhaps significant evidence to encourage regulators and consumers to accept autonomous driving.
